Journalist, author, and adjunct professor using her skills to tell unfinished stories and educate the next generation of journalists.

About Courtney

I am an Emmy-nominated reporter with more than fifteen years of experience in television news and sports. I spent six years as a reporter and anchor at FOX19 in Cincinnati, where I received two Emmy nominations and earned two additional awards for my reporting. Before that, I spent five years at WACH FOX in Columbia, South Carolina, where I covered the Clemson Tigers’ 2016 National Championship run and the South Carolina women’s basketball team’s National Title win at the Final Four in Dallas in 2017. During that time, I also began reporting on cold cases, including a high-profile murder trial and dozens of long-unsolved investigations. Earlier in my career, I worked in sports broadcasting at WFFT Local Fox in Fort Wayne, then at WITI FOX6 in Milwaukee, and as a freelancer for the Big Ten Network. I am also a graduate of DePaul University.

Fun fact: I am a Pilates instructor, certified in Reformer, and teach close to 20 classes a week.

About

Why These Stories Matter

I’m drawn to cases the headlines forgot—stories paused, not finished. My reporting follows the paper trail and the people left waiting, asking who is missing from the narrative.
